Fastsms Update: Dashboard, Profile & Ordering

January has just been and gone and you’ve probably heard that it’s around now that most people abandon their new years resolutions and that ‘New Year, New Me’ mentality. Well, we’re not most people – it’s now February and we’re still striving for self-improvement… and by self, we mean the fastsms platform.

You may have noticed a couple of changes that went live over the weekend, while mostly cosmetic – they pave the way for greater things to come. Here’s a run-down of what you may have missed:

1. Dashboard

This is what most people see when they login (unless you’ve changed that in your preferences already) and we’ll be honest it’s never really lived up to its name… until now. But don’t take our word for it, visit https://my.fastsms.co.uk/ and login to take a look. Now you can get a real overview of your account at a glance:

– check your balance

– see the status of your Virtual Mobile Numbers (VMNs) and when they will expire

– a simple overview of your traffic (sent, received etc)

– the latest from us: both our popular twitter feed and any internal news or alerts

2. Profile

If you’re someone who regularly comments on blogs and forums you may have noticed your profile image appear at the top of your screen – that’s because we’ve integrated with gravatar.com in preparation for some other new features coming later in the year.

We’ve also made it easier for you to manage your email preferences, and made it clearer exactly how often you should expect to hear from us. From here you can also update your contact information (it’s really important this is up to date!), change your password and view your order history.

You can get at your new Profile either by clicking your username, through the dashboard or by visiting https://my.fastsms.co.uk/account

3. Settings

We’ve been through the whole settings section and given it a bit of a tidy up with short explanations next to many of the advanced options – but remember, if you still need help understanding something, we’re here to help!

By request, we’ve also added the ability to select one of your VMNs as the default sender, check it out at https://my.fastsms.co.uk/account/settings

4. Ordering

No matter which messaging solution you use, next time you top up you’ll notice we’ve changed the look of our order pages. Credits and VMNs are now more clearly defined and if you’re lucky enough to have received a promocode from us you’ve also got somewhere new to enter it – just a small change to make your life easier!

Expect more from us over the coming months as we’ve a lot in the pipeline almost ready for launch! 2015 is set to be an exciting year that’s for sure 😉
